From Self-Survival to Divine Life
I do not have to live as though everything depends on me. God has not left humanity to fend for itself. We were created to share in God's own life, not to construct a life apart from Him. Yet much of our daily existence feels like an endless struggle to survive—to manage every situation, protect ourselves from every threat, and secure our own future. This is not the life we were made for. At some point, humanity must acknowledge a painful truth: we need a Saviour. The tragedy of the human condition is not simply that we commit sins; it is that we have fallen into a way of living independent of God. Sin, at its deepest level, is choosing autonomy over communion—trying to live on our own instead of receiving life from the One who created us. The moment we detach ourselves from God, we become dependent on ourselves. Our security, identity, and worth now seem to rest on our own strength or on what others think of us.
